I'm a Hampstead, NC Mama of two fun, brave, athletic 10- & 13-year-old boys. My Husband and I met in college and were married in 2007. I majored in Zoology at NCSU. My previous background is in Pharmaceutical & Medical sales specializing in developing business for 14 Physical Therapy clinics.
I love our beautiful coastal area! I live for island time out on the boat and some quiet pool days! My favorite color is hot pink! I prefer eating mostly healthy foods and my absolute favorite is ALLLLL Seafood! We have the sweetest English Cream Golden Retriever "Buddy Lee," Ball Python "Baller" and our newest addition is our Goldendoodle "Teddy" (born 12/13/21)
I've always been active, and I was a competitive swimmer. I was a Red Cross lifeguard, WSI swim lesson instructor and a PADI open water diver. I love anything that involves the water! My new fav is slalom water skiing! I'm always on the go... so biking hiking and some running but of course my favorite exercise is our Bootcamp workouts.
As Mamas we have to keep moving to remain healthy, happy and keep our sanity! Endorphins are sooooooo good!!!! (IYDKNYN....lol so give your body a chance to feeeeeeel amazing!!!). Our focus in growing is to help as many women as possible with OUR local Beach Mamas Bootcamp class , online training and as personal trainers we really enjoy working with a few 1:1 clients (limited availability). I really loved my courses through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. My Corrective Exercise certification is beyond valuable for conducting assessments & identifying everyday muscle imbalances. We all have overactive and underactive muscles. If muscles are short & tight there are compensations made with exercise form but also with every day tasks. I can design a program to inhibit & lengthen the overactive, strengthen the underactive then integrate all muscles with dynamic slow & controlled exercises.
Nutrition is not a one size fits all approach. Let’s talk about food preferences and what has worked and hasn’t worked in the past. I am trained to provide you with behavioral modifications, necessary resources and out of this world motivation to help
YOU navigate expected plateaus, possible setbacks and then fully succeed with long term maintenance!
If you like to see numbers and you are driven by results then we will do a quantitative approach. (body composition assessments including circumference measurements & macro tracking apps). This will bring the most success along with weekly check in meetups in person/zoom.
If you know you aren’t a numbers person and would prefer a qualitative approach such as discussing current research on certain diets. Or you want to figure out which foods have the most protein, or how you can add veggies to every meal and ultimately how you can reduce your risk of chronic diseases or feel better in your clothes.
